But they also have the Yamaha Montage renders from last year so they might just be putting up all the rumours.

They are probably looking at this thread for "facts" :D

... and this is where they took the "Korg" 2600 picture (a 'real' 2600 in fact) from 8-) ;) : http://citizenfitz.com/logs-2011-06-02- ... icture.jpg.

Found this information here: http://sequencer.de/synthesizer/viewtop ... 7#p1293357
Don't forget to TURN ON THE SYNTHESIZER. Often this is the reason why you get no sound out of it. - ARP 2600 manual, 1971

Takahashi seems to be the one really driving the analog line of instruments at Korg. I'm glad they hired him and hope he stays there a long time. I think they gave him a great deal more latitude on the Volcas (than the monotron or MS-20 reissue) and now he's gone even further in developing the Minilogue. I wonder what's next.

As sentientprogram said it might be like the wow and flutter controls found on some tape echo emulators. After all this is apparently a Mellotron emulator, and a Mellotron is a bunch of tape loop players in a box. How clean and stable a Mellotron sounds will depend on the condition of the tapes and tape player mechanism, so having control over simulated tape artifacts will let the player decide whether he wants it to sound like it's been bouncing around in the back of someone's gear truck for six months or not.

With an analog 4 voice knobby poly at the same price is this the death knell sounding for the microKorg?
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

You mean for production or for use? I doubt people will stop using them. Maybe they'll get even cheaper so I can finally finish my MK army.

Yep! One of the most beautiful songs ever created (in my humble opinion of course) is This Mortal Coil's "Waves Become Wings" written and sung by Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance... who also plays accordion as the main instrument! ;)

Isn't $499 what we were paying for Minibrutes when they first dropped? If so, this seems like a great product at an even better price. I'm GAS'ing already!

Hm, sounds ok but a suspicious lack of poly playing in such a long demo? Strange.

Maybe this thing will be paraphonic after all? (Hi AG.) Curious to hear more details.
