Really? That would be quite a surprise to me. I was thinking $2,999 or thereabouts (maybe $3,500). I mean, look at it, man! it's basically a Moog Voyager on steroids!
I have mixed feelings on this. It LOOKS like a $2,999+ synth, but the way Arturia seem to be packing power for the dollar into boxes of knobs and buttons lately, I wouldn't be TOO surprised if they came in under $2,000 with this beast. It seems they are really proving that these things can be done with innovation, and for considerably less - and with full sized keys!

I was expecting about $1500-2000. When you think about it, three minibrutes in a bigger box is about the same. I think you guys are surprised because you're expecting it to be priced like a Voyager, but comparing the price of this to the voyager and the price of a sub phatty to a Minibrute it makes perfect sense.

This is one of the most uncompromising, audacious synths to hit the market in a long time. Arturia went out of its way to include virtually anything and everything that a synth geek could wish for. I mean, the feature set is almost dizzying, especially at this price point.

So far, there has been no word of official retail price - So I think Streetwater may be guessing.

Yves Usson (the designer) quoted $1800, and with a bit of luck we *may* get it at a lower price here in Europe. But as it stands £1200 seems like a damn fine deal... I'll just have to find the room for it somewhere ;)

It's the only thing I've seen @ NAMM that's really made me sit up and take notice.

hmm I don't like the chances of this thing not having build issues given the way the other brutes went. A broken synth is a dose of reality if you're all getting excited about it being cheap. :?

This price for that amount of hardware seems a bit unrealistic, no?
