so this looks neat, and gimicky...maybe in equal proportions :)
of course i felt that way about my tenori-on, and it is a central part of my rig now!

This looks really interesting - I really like Zoom stuff and have a lot of faith in then as a company.I use their old St224 sampler a lot - its the best performance orientated sampler I'v come across - ease of looping, great effects easy to manipulate in realtime. (their multieffect boxes are great too). So yeah you could say it looks gimiky, but maybe its just visionary.
Much more interested in something like this, which might help me make better music easier than all the shiny new analogs, where my main response is not excitement but just wishing i had more disposable income.

I'm at work at the moment - cruisy Sunday shift - and have brought a TR8 in to programme to fill in time. And yeah its so stupid - a 30yr old design that is inherently flawed. Loops go in a circle, not a line! So I'll be flicking off my TR8 for the Zoom ARQ asap!
"On the following day , the sorcery undespairingly continued: I changed my series, chose other sequences, cut other lengths, spliced different progressions, and hoped afresh for a miracle in sound." (Stockhausen)
