Roland JV-90 vs. JX-305

Post by baldcynic » Fri May 20, 2016 7:34 pm

Hey all, First post here.

I have a choice between a Roland JV-90 and a JX-305 at a similar price.

Wanting some opinions on which is the best value. Not too concerned with MIDI or bells and whistles, just the SOUNDS that the synths make and what options I have for enhancing those sounds.

Which one has the superior presets and options?

I also already own a Juno-D in pretty good shape, so one or both of these synths might be redundant. Thoughts and opinions? Thanks in advance........

Even with sentiments towards JV-90, go for JX: better engine, more polyphony, bigger waveform ROM, better effects.

I have the JV-90 which is great, but In the JX-305
You get a sequenser and bigger wave ROM.
I would go for the JX also

Make sure the jx-305 has a good led screen as they're notorious for going bad
