CEM3340 Reissue
How are we not talking about that yet? Will we see a bunch of new polys soon? What other chips would you like to see?

Maybe Doepefer will resurrect the A111 high end VCO module too.

Re: CEM3340 Reissue
Because of the amazing old synths with dying chips that can now be resurrected.
Because of the new things that can now employ this VCO. Memorymoog reissue anyone?
We all know it will sound exactly like the old ones!

Re: CEM3340 Reissue
Excellent. I hope they get around to the 3320 filter as well. That, combined with the 3310 env, can be thrown into anything and be really powerful.

There are a number of people here who build and repair synths, and love talking about them at the component level.ApolloBoy wrote:I thought this place was called Vintage Synth Explorer? Re: CEM3340 Reissue
This is major news for us Synth DIYers - I've heard rumors that they're $15 each for ordering at low quantitiesJabberwalky wrote:There are a number of people here who build and repair synths, and love talking about them at the component level.ApolloBoy wrote:I thought this place was called Vintage Synth Explorer? Re: CEM3340 Reissue
Oh wow, this is a godsend. Hopefully will pave the way for a few other reissues. Expensive business though, so fingers crosed.

That would be excellent, although the vco is the big thing in my opinion.Jabberwalky wrote:Excellent. I hope they get around to the 3320 filter as well. That, combined with the 3310 env, can be thrown into anything and be really powerful.

Re: CEM3340 Reissue
That is great news and let's me sleep better at night knowing i won't have to buy used 3340 at 90 bucks a piece should one of the 18 CEM based oscilator chips installed in my synths fail at one point.
