Synths aint ship

What do you all think about any keyboard now days having synth options on them? Sounds decent to me, some better than others :keys1:

Are you a bot?

What do you mean?
1) Synthesizer programmed presets
2) Synthesizer sampled sounds
3) Interface knobs?
4) Effects?
5) The name from an old classic?

I think he means workstations with patches on them that emulate sounds you might find in synths?

not sure what would make me wanna buy a bigger more expensive synth other than maybe hearing a sound only it can make, which im sure there many as ive seen on ableton but I wouldnt want to limit myself to something these family home cheap keyboards have on them that a synth doesnt, so id go by that for my first synth

Also check out the Kurzweil PC3 line (PC3, PC3K, etc.). They have all the usual workstation sounds as well as a separate VA1 synth engine, and a separate organ modeling engine too! Pretty kick a*s board. Not cheap but worth every penny.
