Yamaha Rm800 vs. Soundcraft Spirit Studio

Postby NCChao1268 » Sat Apr 28, 2018 7:42 pm

Was looking at both of these mixers and was wondering which one would be better for recording, both are best as 24 channel; which one has better sounding eq's? Less noise? More features?(Though the Soundcraft Spirit appears that it might have more features) Better sound?

Don't know about the Yamaha but the Soundcraft is very noisy if you're using mics but fine for synths, has nice eq and sockets that break a lot. Great sound when overdriving the input, sweep the eq and it's a digeridoo. Nice logical layout. A pig to service. Every pot has to be unscrewed if you need to get at the top of the PCB.

Thanks for the reply, probably would want to get a RM800 instead.
