Does anybody have any experience with this? How vell does it work if the pitch comes from a mic/vocals?

not very well. i just tested it out recently (decades since the last time i tested it) and yea it's as bad as I remembered it in 1993.. it works OK if you are patient and play very slow but you still get phantom octaves and such.. overall i'm not sure why boss even bothered.. its about up there with the tuner.. which again works but too poorly to rely on it..

I never got one. I think I bought a Yamaha RY8 instead which had a similar pitch to midi feature. It worked ok to use with a theremin to trigger a sound module and play air sitar 8-)

very cool, yea a truly mono instrument might actually work ok.. but guitar with its multi tone ability was more than it could handle.. but that does may me wonder how it would track with a mono synth going through it.. i'll have to try it.
