Metasonix f**k f**k

Post by PitchMode » Sat Jan 12, 2008 9:43 pm

With a name like that, I can't wait to find out what this thing is. There's speculation that it is some kind of mixer or amp head, similar to the Muff Wiggler.

Here's a picture of the guts

well, by your own admission, it didn't sound likely to be a synth, so...

AFAIK, it's a guitar amp, so this thread might need moving a bit further...

You don't know what it is, I don't know what it is but looking at that picture, it looks like an amp head and thus doesn't belong in General Synths.
I didn't get where I am today by posting on internet forums.

the simple answer being that you put it in the wrong place.

I really thought that was funny. Circuit-board-jokes are pretty rare, so seeing one was pretty delightful.

Oh. I thought it was pretty funny and sardonic. I'm more interested in the function and sound of the FF, though.

i'm not offended by it or anything, i use that word way more than i should to begin with. just think it's really dumb. know they're not trying to target a wide market, but jeesh...might as well have named whatever it is PIECE OF s**t.

(if that really is the name...)

agreed. i'll go out on a limb here and confess that i'm a bit of a prude. i generally don't swear (unless i get really tired, for some reason), and i'd rather not buy anything that's swearing at me, cool or not. it's their product to design and sell, so no one but Metasonix should have any say over the name (or anything else for that matter), but man, way to limit your market. when companies do that, it makes me think they're either pandering to the lowest common denominator, or they're trying to sell the product on shock value alone, which calls the product's quality into question, for me.

(please, no one jump on me for this. i don't really mind what other people do, i'm just offering my opinion on the thing. no harm intended.)

To be worthy of that name (i.e., for it to be sardonic, rather than just teenage), it's going to need to be the most amazing sound destruction unit ever to be produced by the human race. The good news is that if anyone can make such a thing, it's Metasonix.

I really like the name. I would have preferred "Big Dammit" or "s**t on a Stick" better. But it's a good name, nevertheless.
