in this song there is a really distinctive spacey phaser type modulation sound going on (best heard on its own at 1.34). was wondering how they may have got this lovely effect. i dont think its just a filter envelope on a synth because you would here it opening every time a a note or chord is played.

i read somewhere ed o'brian used a Lovetone Meatball in this song, but id imagine it was used to get that funky wah type sound also heard.

anyone any clues. thanks

Sounds to me like it's not enveloped, just tempo sync'd

sounds like a phaser...

a few seconds before that the same phased part sounds like it's being sent through an LFO'd filter though....
