Broken Horn/Tweet on my Roland KC-500

Post by Crazy88 » Fri Aug 01, 2008 4:28 am

I have blown out my horn on my Roland KC-500 amp, and I need to get a replacement. I've called roland, and they want $165 for a new horn. This seems ridiculously expensive for just a single horn. Does anyone know of an alternative horn I can get that would work? Here are some specs:

-150 watts RMS
-15" full-range speaker
-2" horn driver

Thanks!

Parts Express has really good service and a good range of parts. Here is their page on 2" horn drivers: http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm ... &sm=1&so=1 Replacing the blown driver should be as easy as opening the cabinet, taking off the wires, replacing the old driver with the new one and reattaching the wires. Hopefully the speaker didn't take the amplifier with it, in which case it probably isn't worth fixing. Best of luck with the repairs.
