Digitized Mess

Post by Dr Amazing » Thu Jul 14, 2011 12:27 am

How do I stop this? everything I record lately sounds like this crunchy digitized mess...both in Abelton and Garageband

I am using a Mac Book into a Lexicon Omega audio interface...

here is an example of the crunchy mess

There's something wrong with your interface. Look in the manual for some kind of reset option, and update it to the latest firmware if you haven't already. In fact if it's got the latest firmware you might want to reload it anyway.

Also, when you're doing music stuff, disable most power management settings because if your usb ports go into low power mode the interface may disconnect which usually requires resetting the interface and your software.
