Got a Space a couple of weeks ago. It sounds VERY Eventide, no surprises there, the reverse reverbs are fantastic. Very dense and lush as you would expect, I am still reading the manual, it is a complex unit indeed. having all those knobs makes it a bit like an instrument, sitting it in front of a sequenced synth adjusting it in real time is a hoot.

Just funning around with the Andromeda and the SPACE.

That's really a great sounding reverb example. I had been missing my Lexicon MPX500 that I sold, it had just a fantastic reverb for the price. But with this eventide box now I'm having to re-evaluate. Been getting by w/ my RE-20 and love the delays to bits, but now I've got gas again for those huge verbs. For recording I've been enjoying the UAD-1 DreamVerb.

garranimal, thanks. There's three tracks of Andromeda going there, all through different reverbs. The first sound you hear is the piano-esque chords. The Eventide is providing that endless sustain. The second sound is the chimey thing way in the background. That's a "hall" setting with a really long tail. The third sound is the bass line, which is going through a dual-verb reverse preset with delay.

I tracked the Andromeda via it's AUX outputs (bypassing the internal effects) and right into the SPACE then into Cubase, so all the effects you're hearing are SPACE.

I have both the Timefactor & SPACE. Get them both they are equally potent and different

I have the timefactor and the space, and now I'm having a similar issue with the pitchfactor...

Has anyone compared the convertors on the Space to the Eclipse? I still think a Space would be great because of the interface but it seems a bit like a waste when I already have an Eclipse and its conversion is most probably better.

I have not but one would assume the Eclipse would be better but that might not be the case.

I'm lusting after the rest of the line, too. Modfactor, Timefactor, & Pitchfactor.

wow... I've also become very interested in the Space because of this thread. I would prefer a rack unit, but I guess the size is small enough it easily would fit on a desk.

A self-evolving modular drone patch through the SPACE. All that weird harmonic stuff in the background is the "shimmer" setting of the SPACE doing weird things. It's also adding the stereo effect (the output of my modular is mono).

Yes one would assume, but I was wondering if anyone had actually put them head to head. I'm capable of assuming things by myself, thanks for the assistance though. :thumbleft:

If we lived on the same continent, I'd let you borrow my SPACE since I'm on the road so much anyway. Are there any retailers with decent return policies in your neck of the woods?

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if they had the same AD/DA converters.
