How can you change a sung vocal to a whispered vocal?
I am looking for ideas, ways, methods on transforming a singer's voice in Fmajor to a whispered voice using technology at our disposal...I am doing a remix on a trance song and I would love being to process the vocals up a bit.

Only thing I can think of is using a noise waveform as carrier through a vocoder.

This also belongs in either Help or Sound Production.
Partial answer: Get to know your software well, use some nice low pass filter, change levels, get dirty.

Use a time/pitch stretch process on it and add some noise and or distortion.

None of those things are actually going to do a convincing job of turning singing into whispering. Get someone with a vaguely similar sounding voice and record them whispering the words.

run it through a reverb, record 100% wet

Logic's vocal transformer might get you close. If you crank the pitch up way high but leave formant intact it can start to get breathy.
Or I second the vocoder.
