Headphones for Dance music production

Post by klickflip » Wed Sep 30, 2015 3:56 pm

Hi, does anyone have any experience or thoughts on these headphones for producing dance music. Mainly classic techno , progressive housey disco electro and some elec funk and ambient and electronica. Often like have quite a lot of bass in my tracks and want to detail this well on phones.

AKG K702s
Beyer DT880 edition 250ohm

Tracking, mixing or both?
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Mixing and general playing & writing at night, won't really need to track at all.
Cheers

I use DT-770s because I do a lot of live work and need the isolation, but you're on the right track with the Beyers. I prefer the 990s to the 880s after using them all a fair bit, but they're all good.
