Workstation vs. synth

Postby DocDeF4U17 » Tue Jun 13, 2017 11:58 pm

So having toyed around with several work stations ive come to the conclusion that the newer the better as far as "synth" option goes, regular piano seems to sound better on the older work stations, older synths seems to have terrible regular piano, so a new workstation can provide both good piano and good synth, the bigger the better also, if you start to shrink workstations into little keyboards then so does the quality of synth...no matter how new.

Yes, buy a Kronos if you want both workstation and synth.

A workstation is a synthesizer. Please write on the blackboard 1000 times :banghead:

You might be interested in the Korg Microstation, no longer made this was an inexpensive workstation with minikeys. They can be found used for $400-500.

SoundOnSound review
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

The M1 is twenty-nine years old. Please use a more modern example when judging sound, etc.
