Should I trade my microKORG for a Roland XP60
Someone wants to trade me a Roland XP60 with a case for my microKORG. Good deal or bad?

The Korg is probably worth more $$$. And they're totally different synths. The XP60 can't do what the Korg can do, and vice versa. The XP is one of the good XP/JV series ROMplers. Very interesting synthesis features, but it is based on samples whereas the Korg is a VA. The XP60 has a very nice semi-weighted keyboard.

??? Am I looking at the right rompler? quick check on ebay and looks like the XP60 goes for way more money than a Microkorg.
Whether you want it or not is up to you, as madtheory wrote, they are very different.

XP60 does indeed regularly sell for a lot more money. Pretty good deal when you factor in the price difference.

Oh that’s funny. I was assuming. Woops! I guess romplers a more fashionable than early VA synths right now.
So like I said, it depends on what you want to do with the synth.

I think the XP60 has a wonderfully juicy filter, even for being the epitome of 90s digital. You can get some gorgeous pads out of the thing
Comparison is the thief of joy.
