Korg Minilogue vs. Behringer Odyssey

Post by Zekwa.kollektiv » Mon Dec 09, 2019 6:46 pm

Buying my first hardware synth got me in despair. First I was all about Korg MS-20 but seen the complexity and such, I decided that my choice would be between the Korg Minilogue or the Behringer Odyssey. Does anyone here want to help me out in this strife?

Big thanks

The two synths are very different.

Minilogue: 4 voice polyphonic, patch memory, MIDI control of most parameters

Odyssey: monophonic, no MIDI control of parameters

So do you need to play chords or not? What kind of music will you be playing? Do you have plans to perform live?

BTW the Korg MS-20 is no more complex than the Odyssey. The patch panel just makes it look more complicated.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.
