ARP multisynths: Quartet vs Omni II

Post by LucB » Sat Jul 25, 2009 1:57 pm

Hello!

Many offers came in for the SH-2000 and CS-5 i had FS/FT. Right now, someone with a Delta flaked (nooooooo) and now two people are offering me somewhat similar multisynths with divide-down architecture, both ARP.

So, what do you think of the Quartet (or siel orchestra) and what do you think of the omni II? I kind of have a preference for the Omni II, but i'm willing to hear anything.

GO!

I've got a Quartet in the shop right now. Pretty good strings , poor brass, lousy piano. Organ is a fair pipeorgan tone but no B3 sounds. I've kicked it up some with a brass resonance knob, and an octive-down switch. Also i've put on seperate outs for brass, organ, and piano so you can do some effects to bring out the best on each sound.
bought if strictly for the 'vintage' value.
