Heaps of stuff if you've got SokkOS.

Did anyone ever make a sokkos-specific frontpanel? I tried to get into it, but all the unlabelled function combinations was too much to try to remember while jamming it out

I did an A/B comparison of my TB303 to a friend's x0xb0x a while back:

303:
x0xb0x:

Aside from some minor differences that EQ could easily fix, the only sonic differences I found where that the original 303 could pleasantly distort its own output near max volume, the top 5 percent of the original's accent knob provided an extra bit of squelch and punch, and his x0xb0x had a different envelope decay range than mine, which in turn made the decay rate of accent longer, but this is easily fixed by changing out one component.

Seeing as the x0xb0x is so much easier to program, it seems like a no-brainer for those who like the 303 sound.

The only reason I didn't keep the x0xb0x in the above demo is what you can't hear: Its outputs were about 20db lower at maximum volume. This apparently was because the person who built it used a different VCA chip than the BA662, but used the same surrounding components as the original, pushing the output gain out of spec.
I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.
