I replaced the TR-505 I had that was stolen from my dorm room back in 1987 with a DDD-1, and I still have it, sampling board and all. The few sounds on the TRs are cleaner, but the DDD-1 is much more flexible and fun to play with. That said, back in the day, the TR interface was much more conducive to creating patterns on the machine itself than the DDD-1, but if you are using it as a sound source, then go DDD-1. Just cut the decay time on the kick drums, for heaven's sake!

What i really like about tr707 is it has xox sequencer. Secondly, the faders that u can reach your hand to anytime u wish without holding a shift. I dont know about 3Ds1, & u cant mute more than a single track at once on drumtrak unless you use midi sequencer to control.
