Looking for a synth for making some kids albums

Postby Music Bird » Sun Feb 18, 2018 3:21 pm

I'm looking for a synth for making a kids album. It will have to have synth and ethnic sounds like these songs
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rhftpIt2LEg Kicir Kicir
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aZEVPh5BX1I Yamko Rambe Yamko
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVfFMGB1-Hk Gundhul Pacul

Also, the brass and other stuff.
I know these were mainly composed on an arranger keyboard most likely due to the very low budget. So anyone have anything for the lead stuff. Mostly 80's versions of those sounds. I have arranger keyboards (Casio and Yamaha) so I can do the backing chords, bass, and drums. 80's versions as in stuff like this but from the early to mid 80's so more analog sounding brass and leads and quacky synths and bells.
Korg, Casio and Yamaha (Minilogue, WK-7600, SK-1, MX49)
FL Studio 12, VSTs, MIDI keyboard
Non synths
Acoustic guitar, harmonicas, recorders, flutes, tin whistle, kazoo, egg shakers, log drum, pellet drums, xylophone bowl.

Anyone?
The analog sounds I want are like those leads in those tracks and
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L9EDL8ROGLc Brass stabs Like in this Radiorama track as well as Like Final Countdown & Jump
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6Bvof8dkz0k The intro lead and chords and solo at 0:45 from 1977
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uR_2MMar0s0 The bells in this Phil Collins tune
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=c5BL4RNFr58 The Dow dow stabs in this James Brown tune for offbeat chords
And a good bass.
It will probably sound like a cheesy rerun of 80's kids Disney and PBS cartoons with sped up phased or flanged vocals.

look for Jupiter, Oberheim and Moog sounds on your MX49. The bell is likely a cowbell from either a drum kit or drum machine, look and see if your MX49 has a kit from a drum machine with cowbell.
