$200 Juno 106 Worth It?
So theres someone selling a Juno 106, he doesn't seem to know much about it, which explains the price. It has some buttons that aren't working and I'm not really sure of the condition of the DCO Chips. How much should I be paying if one or two chips are faulty? He's basically selling me two for 400 dollars, with a dual tier stand. If the synth is in need of repairs would you still go for it?

Even if the voice chips are bad, you're almost guaranteed to double your money, so... who is this guy and where can I meet him?Danu1997 wrote:So theres someone selling a Juno 106, he doesn't seem to know much about it, which explains the price. $200 for a Juno 106? That is a good deal with or without all working voice chips, you could even talk the price down with him! The voice chips are a repair job one can do by themselves if they are handy with a soldering iron and following the directions of it. Take them while they are still there. You are lucky to live in a place where people don't know the value of vintage synthesizers. Hopefully it stays like that where you live at.

Yeah it really is great to find these synths for cheap. Just bought a fully working mint Korg T3ex for 100 bucks. Turns out the he had 2 Juno 106's. One of them has 5 voices working. The other seems quite messed up. No sound really except when i move the filter. Gonna change the 6 chips in the working one to analog ren chips and then move the 5 working old chips to the dead synth to try and revive it.NCChao1268 wrote:$200 for a Juno 106?
