Hello guys. Greetings from Greece. I am new here and I am the owner of a Roland EXR-GR5 (EXR-5, GR edition) for 13 years. Some keys stopped functioning and I think that it's not worth repairing. I am thinking of buying my first synth and I have these preferences: I would prefer 73/76/88 semi-weighted keys. Also, I am interested in these music genres: Classic, Rock/Metal,Hip Hop, Electronic and Movie Soundtracks (epic-lord of the rings, pirates of the caribbean, etc.) I love pianos, organs,strings, polysynths. What choices do I have for 1500 Euro max?
PS: I don't make music via computer, but perhaps I do one day.

You can't really go wrong with a Yamaha MODX 7 or 8, lots of sounds, AWM and FM engines, one of the best workstation right now...

The Kurzweil SP6 has some of the best Piano sounds currently available. It also has the KB3 Tonewheel Organ section which allows you to make your own Organ settings rather than just play fixed Organ samples as on other keyboards. The SP6 has many sounds that you will not find on any other keyboard in this price range plus you can download new sounds.
