my first synth

Post by maria.clara.clara » Sun Feb 23, 2020 12:34 am

Hi! I am looking forward to buy my first synth. My budget it´s pretty tight around $200 so I might get one second hand.
Also I really need it to have a keyboard as I need to study on it.
I´ve been thinking about buying the korg poly 800 but I am really lost to be honest. Hope you can guide me a bit.
Thank you :D

For just barely above the budget you listed, you could get a used--but very capable Novation KS4. It is very hands on--giving you the ability to learn a lot about synthesis. Check out some YouTube vids...

Seconded on the KS4. It will cover a wide array of sounds, and it's not too bad to edit either (not much menu diving). And it has built in effects. (reverb, delay, chorus, etc.)

I still have mine after many years.

Cheers
