Did you rape my PS-3100 with MIDI?
Actually not. It's still exactly the same, just with lots of new op amps and about 160 new capacitors.
Okay. :)

Although it's crossed my mind. A PS-3100 with kenton midi is definitely worth more than without. Although I'm not planning on selling it...

Yeah, right. I'm the equivalent of a prude b***h on this one.
Heath's the one who is considering a slutty Kenton... that's the same as an under-the-bleachers handjob.

Well, yesterday I modded my Kenton (Pro-2 - she's been around a bit).

What does that make me?

... this is all getting a bit J.G.Ballard.

:::thinks: That looks really cool. The SH3/a would be an excellent candidate for semi-modularization. I wish mine had been semi-modularized. Maybe I would have kept it if it had been. Man, that thing looks really cool. The only real problem I have with it is the removal of the keyboard. Can't see for sure, but it looks like it's probably just a SH-3a... there are plenty of those kickin' around... a few of them professionally semi-modularized wouldn't be that bad, would it? I don't know. Damn. I can't let them know my hardline tack is actually not that hardline. They can't know what I'm thinking... it would weaken my argument! Must keep reserve!! Damn, that thing looks cool. If I bought one, I'd have to keep it a secret. SHHH. Stop thinking this![/size]:::

Uh, that's terrible. Who would do such a thing? No one should ever mod anything.

Two modified beauties. Top one makes the Andy more ergonomical; bottom has a new cpu board that adds midi,CC control of various functions and cosmetic improvements.
You wouldn't go near either of them would you AG ?

I certainly would!
The Andromeda is a modern synth, and I have no problem with modification of modern synths.

As for the Chroma... I suppose I should protest, but... eh... I don't care that much about them as synths.
What the modifier SHOULD have done was get rid of that horribly failure-prone interface.

The membrane switches don't really fail all that often AG(unless you're talking about the pleasure of trying to program it ;) ) and the CC+ mod lets you control the Chroma with a knobby controller. However, a knob box would be perfect. One user did make one but has little desire to produce a run.
What fails the most on the Chromas are the power supply.Mines been modded with a Map 0080 modern power supply.

Ok... I don't know why... but I would really have a moral problem with using a Behringer BCR to program a Rhodes Chroma
