considering going modular, one big question!

Hi friends.

I was considering buying a jomox mbase-01 bass drum, but an alternative is tickling my mind and I want to know if I'm thinking it completely through properly.

jomox mbase-01 = $300.
909-ish bassdrum module = £69.

Now, what's the minimal requirements I'd need to get that module working? Are there only a few "standards" that my case & modules need to match? And in this case, these are "Doepfer style" because thats what the power leads are?

I realize I wouldn't have MIDI but that's okay, I can build my own midi-trigger interface.

So could I just get an A100-mini case and I'd be up and running? Or am I forgetting something?

This: http://www.mfberlin.de/Produkte/Module/ ... owere.html
would give you MIDI and power, but you'd have to knock together your own case.

I don't see it on analogue haven. Is it available yet?

Good question, I don't know. It looks like the same MIDI-to-CV module that's in the Kraftzwerg, so maybe they're coming out around the same time (i.e. any day now, I hope)?
