Current est. value of an SH-101?

Post by downgrade » Sun Sep 14, 2008 2:43 pm

I've found one locally in great condition, asking price of $450. I've seen some grossly inflated prices via Ebay and was thinking $400-450 is about right. No? Also, I'm about to view it in a few hours.....anything to be wary of? Cosmetic flaws are of course easy to spot but, is it prone to anything? I'd appreciate the feedback as I'm kinda dead-set on buying it.

$450 is a good price for a SH-101. Not sure exactly why they are selling for so much on eBay, I guess it's all the hpe for analog gear thee days. At that price, you could sell it and make a profit if it doesn't live up to your expectations.

I'm not a big fan of the 101 sound, but I do enjoy using its sequencer to control other synths.

Best of luck!

I think that's a great price. Go for it! Mine was $750 AU with the mod grip. I think it was worth it.
I find the sh-101's sou nd very inspiring. And like Z said, the sequencer is great, It would be great with the Teebee. 8)

$450 should be tops of what they sell for. I got mine for $400. But they're selling for stupid money on greedbay now. $700 for a gray one? $900+ for the colored ones? Gimme a break! I've gone through about 6 or 7 101s so far, i'm keeping this one!!! =o] You can't go wrong with the SH-101.
