BTW the Matrix 1000 is NOT multitimbral.

Spectral Audio Syntrack seems kind of funky, digital waves but an analog filter, seems like an easy way to get some more synth sounds. It says it's a wavetable oscillator, but I don't think it has many (or possibly any) of the synthesis tricks onboard that you'd associate with the term.

Cheetah MS-6. Sounds like matrix-1000 but is multitimbral and you can edit it from the front.

I used to want an MS-6 but looked and looked and NEVER saw one for sale, so I gave up...

Marion MS-1 (often referred to as a programmable Matrix 1000 but apparently let down by slow envelope gens).

Peavey Spectrum Synth.

Fairly plain sounding.

What about a Roland S-760?
Bend it to fit, Paint it to match.
