Hi there,
I need to trigger chords using a bass guitar with a MIDI pickup. Would You suggest anything hardware similar to Logic's chord memorizer to send appriopriate commands to a sound module?
Thanks in advance
Marcin

Re: Hardware Chord Memorizer?
This is theoretical and expensive:
Bass fitted with hex/midi pickup => MIDI conversion box (Roland GI20?) => MPC1000 w/ JJ OS2 XL => module
Mind you, that's probably a couple of thousand Euros for something hard to set up and inaccurate and buggy.

Nord Modular G2 engine. It is a swiss-army-knife for this kind of stuff. And a great responsive outboard mulit-effect if you want it to...

The only bass to midi unit that I know of currently in production is the Roland VB-99.

Re: Hardware Chord Memorizer?
I think the OP already has a MIDI bass guitar...

Re: Hardware Chord Memorizer?
Thanks for Your replies, guys. I'm afraid my question was not clear enough though...
I already have a midi pick up and know how to use it. What I want to be able to do is to play a bass note and have it trigger the whole chord. For example: I play C as a root and the sound module plays C-E-G at once (not as an arpeggio).
Thanks, Marcin

The Ketron intelligent arranger can do that.
