Post by fingerbib2000 » Mon Jun 08, 2009 12:41 pm

Ok, so technically the topic could go in the shootout section, but this isn't a which is better topic...

I've had a supernova 2 for years and now have a chance to pickup the original for a decentish price.

i'm curious as to what are the differences between the 2 racks apart from polyphony and the external inputs...

Curious about this myself.
After a bit of checking : The 2 adds FM/ring mod algorithoms (8) , 2 audio inputs, 1 extra type of effect (ensemble), 42 band vocoder with sibilants, # of voices available are different, highest # of patches/performances available on the 1 are standard on the 2, ADAT/SPDIF Digital I/O available on the 2 as an option.
