Looking for a particular monosynth sound

Post by fastfwdd » Sun Jun 28, 2009 4:11 am

I'm looking for a monosynth with these type of sound characteristics. I found that the sound in the beginning of this video contains the sort of sound I'm looking for. Very punchy and dense. I know he is using a Gakken, but modding that particular synth is beyond my scope and I'm looking for something that has a bit more flexibility. Could anybody provide any insight or suggestions on what type of monosynth I should maybe look at? Thanks!

thats sounding very 303 like. look into a tb-303 or an sh-101 would be my suggestion.

The doepfer ms-404 is a tb-303 clone that is going for under $500 might be another avenue for you to check out.

those would all be awesome for sweet sequenced synth bass. try to go for something with an inbuilt sequencer. maybe a x0xb0x kit? that would be great if you don't mind getting hands on with it!
