I can't believe people are paying this much for this synth. Sure, it's rare, but it's also too limited to justify this kind of price. But I guess some collectors are just nuts.

And he keeps relisting it, over and over again, at exactly the same price! I can't believe these people!walkathon wrote:
heh, relisted again for $7k ... this one might end up sitting on the bay for years, good times.
And $6,999 is the starting bid, mind you -- it's not even a BIN price.

You sure as h**l will be the only one bidding, so it's almost like a BIN
Yesterday I've watched a 707 go for more than 1k on the local Swiss equivalent of evilbay... People are crazy.
Edited in order to type evilbay differently so it doesn't link to it - WTF.

In all seriousness this guy should have his a*s kicked for asking that much for any synth that needs restoration.

As a previous owner of the same machine (with all you see here), this REALLY pisses me off. Noone in their right mind should consider paying (or selling) this machine for this price, no matter how rare.
Edit: Is the eBay plugin not working, or is it just my browser?

There seems to be a general trend of calling things "excellent/perfect/minty" condition, despite whatever flaws/technical issues actually exist.
Case in point:
http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/msg/4350183900.html
SH-1 in "excellent" condition, aside from the two giant, f**k-off cracks in the case!

SH-1 in "excellent" condition, aside from the two giant, f**k-off cracks in the case!

Do you even post on vse bro?

So, either the auction didn't sell and he's listing on CL instead, or someone bought it locally and is flipping.

So here, instead of "excellent condition", we have "fully functional", when one function doesn't actually work... love it
