Yes the CEM 3340 and 2260 chips would be hard to get. Looking at the service manual and a quick search shows replacements for most of the other ICs are available.

As there is a thread regarding "interesting eBay auctions," I thought it would be interesting to have a thread for people to post auctions that have ridiculously high starting bids or 'buy-it-now' prices.

The auction below is on Australian eBay and is for a Roland Promars and CSQ-600 sequencer. Usually these days a Promars will sell for about $500-$700 and a CSQ-600 will sell for around $300-$400.

Dude, I sold an immaculate ProMars for 1100 pounds in London, UK.

This lunatic keeps relisting this when it doesn't sell. He'd be lucky to get $100 for it. I want it!

Well there's this:

It has 4 bids already. Wonder if it goes above 20k.

I tried to make her a reasonable offer but she turned it down. This is an insane price. Maybe she thinks the box is worth $700 or more.

$5k for a CS-60 that's a 9/10 scale, that he's willing to part out?

Price is ridiculous and the description is complete nonsense.

He's also selling the owners manual for $100 PLUS $10 shipping. I'd at least expect free shipping on a $100 STAINED manual.

Sometimes it's a bad idea for eBay to offer free listings.
