There used to be a time where you'd pay the extra shipping from Japan for Japanese stuff and it would still be a decent deal now their prices just jack up the ones in North America even further. And when you buy from Japan you're not even getting a 110/117V piece.

Oh, I dunno, I thought your "no brain" comment sized up the situation in a fairly accurate manner

It's just another example of "It says 'Moog' on it so it must be worth a fortune" kind of thinking.

You'd think someone that would go through the trouble of listing on ebay would also go through the trouble of at least looking up completed listings, and give more than two lines of description. I'm needy, I know.
I have a feeling this guy has earned his feedback score.

Eh... they're neither rare or highly sought after. ~$300 is a pretty normal, and fairly conistant price.

Did you guys see the Prophet 600 thats up right now - $2999? Totally beat, broken key, no side panels, dirty. Here's the description:

'A once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of the finest specimens of Sequential Circuits Prophet 600's that I've ever come across! Excellent condition, beautifully maintained and 100% functional through and through! Where are the wood sides you ask? They looked so bad that I figured it would be better to remove them and really let the character of this synth's insides really shine. Please feel free to ask me any questions. Thanks :)'

Almost sounds sarcastic! Check it out - can't link right now because I'm on my phone. Auction number is: 290737845897
