hmm, yea I mean there's a s**t load of keyword spamming for sure, but you'd have to be an idiot to not think you're getting anything but a standard cardboard kik bustin' 707 here no?

Maybe I'm just underestimating the average bidder's stupidity

Someone got it in any case, wonder if they put up the cashola. :?

should've been in the ridiculous thread. putting 909 in the title is keyword spamming IMO but ebay might've tolerated it despite reports. it was being sold by a dealer which usually does cause higher prices. do not many show up in australia?

The word 'fat' when describing the 707 is what irks me particularly! :pissed:

i doubt that, and as long as won items are paid for through ebay/paypal it's completely safe.

don't get me wrong, i hate their evil, but they do totally protect buyers long as it's not some other method of payment.

and i agree on the

For once in my life, I could be the highest bidder on many of those synths!

Ok, maybe just for a couple of hours or days, but still... ;-)

Also 24-hour auctions, a seller with no history of synth selling, and the most common high priced items such as JP-8 and 2600 the scammers always list...

wow. i'm surprised. sorry i pushed thinking that was legit, usually the scams are trying to get payment outside ebay, with tons of other listings i figured it was a business reselling all kinds of things they'd picked up and hadn't sold in-store.

Some people don't realize buyer protection actually works. Someone saw that I had to return a synth on ebay because they got ripped off by the same guy as me and said they needed someone to talk to about it. I got my money back easily, but this guy was worried that the seller would get the synth and the money back. I explained the process, but he freaked out and talked about how he planned on taking it to get it fixed. He said it would be like 800 to fix it too.
