AKA "A prelude to a scam"

Anyone recall the 1700.00 Voyager XL, a few weeks prior?

Hello,

Thank you for your email. I am glad that you want to buy my Moog Voyager XL
keyboard. My asking price is US $1,700.00. From the beginning I want to tell
you that I left the USA a couple of days ago (the day after I put the
product on sale) and I came to United Kingdom with my job (I am a member of
the "Save The Children Foundation"). If you still want to buy it, we can do
it in a very safe way using an escrow company. They will handle the delivery
(since I took the item with me) and will offer you a number of days of
Inspection so you can test and see that the item is exactly as described by
me. I will pay all shipping/escrow fees.

Thanks,
Adam
   :spam:

Does that bit really work so much that people still try to use it? It's not even a creative departure from the theme.

Non-working Paia kit synth? I would avoid that...

everything can be fixed no? :dontknow: if the midi/cv were the major reason for the purchase I would advise steer clear. Otherwise, I don't see what the big deal is. even though it looks old, it's the current production offering of modules so it should be newish components.

This seller tends to sell some interesting sh*t, plus he posted a pretty decent demo vid too. Likely a VS member ;)

Not sure if I wholly trust this though ... fairly sure it was an SH-5?
Fun fact: Supposedly (via youtube comments), some cool sounds from Steve Miller's "Fly Like An Eagle" were made on this board with and Echoplex.

Yeah but how do you know what the skill was of who put it together? That's the main issue with kits. The soldering job could be horrendous and may have lifted board traces/pads and blown components...
