These great sounding synths, regardless of version, don't show up all too often on ebay. This
particular example is the duophonic keyboard version:

Nyle Steiner told me a while ago that he sometimes made custom equipment with silver panels long after they had switched to the black painted ones.
The biggest reason they switched to black painted panels was that when making the silver panels, they were sanding the aluminum themselves. This
was a laborious task and it was difficult to get consistent results. The later brushed aluminum panels were made by using a wet wire brush and that
worked well enough. Nyle recalls there was also some discussion with his partners about using black because it seemed to be a popular color for synth
panels at the time.

Did you know that Trent Reznors autograph is worth $5K+? For $5K I will get your synth autographed by Trent. I'll fly my a*s out to california and sit by his gate until he signs the damn thing. I'll even provide pictorial proof.

Ha... Is it me or does JMJ look like he's had some major surgery?

(I like how for the NIN auction, this guy speculates that this MAY have even been in the Sharon Tate house! Trent MAY have even played on it at some point!

I know, for no actual proof, 7k is a bit absurd. I had the thompson twins OB-Xa, but I had no document saying as such so I sold it as I would normally. I also had Run DMC's original 808, again no proof.
