DW-8000 current street price

Post by aphlux » Mon Apr 12, 2010 6:01 pm

Just curious on street prices for a DW-8000. I have no access to freebay, and id like to purchase on when I come back into country. Or h**l, if anyone is selling one in the Austin/Dallas/central texas area >.>

I guess around 3-400, but I could be wrong.

There was a Korg EX-8000 (rack version of DW-8000 keyboard) on Dallas CL for a while, but I don't see it now. I'll keep a look out for you.

There's one for sale on CL in San Diego asking $250, but another one is ending on eBay in an hour and is currently at, like, less than $100.

where are you seeing that? if one was up for auction and the bidding was that low, either there was something wrong with it or the price will double in the last few seconds.

regardless - i'm not seeing the listing you're talking about, unless it's in another country's ebay.

It's a great synth at $300 (what I paid for mine a couple of weeks ago), and a veritable bargain at anything under $250.

I LOVED the DW8000 and I've probably had a half dozen or so through the years.
Good luck with it, great sound, but get yourself accustomed to opening it up every few months and cleaning the contacts. They are infamous for dead keys.
Also, consider a DSS-1. Essentially the same signal path but it's also a 12 bit sampler.
