I have a nice early version A6...I have had an offer to trade plus (my side) cash for a select series voyager.
How do these compare price wise...I do fancy a voyager but i want info on the best deal..

in the USA, street prices of the two are only $300 apart. So don't kick in any more cash than that.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Re: Voyager /andromeda dilema..
I'd never pay anything to trade my A6 for any voyager
Re: Voyager /andromeda dilema..
I do love the A6...I just have enough polys and a voyager has been floating around in my mind.
I need to think about this...Keep your thoughts coming...

Re: Voyager /andromeda dilema..
well you have a memorymoog... a sonicsix... do you really need a Voyager ???
keep the A6 it and dig it down to the bone.
If you need something different, search for a DSI Monoevolver Keyboard. That's quite different and funny.

Conversely, you have a Jupiter 4 + Jupiter 8 + Memorymoog + OBX = do you really need an A6?
it depends on your overall sound and whether you need the modern/distinct sound of the A6 among all the other jazz.
i think w/ your setup an A6 could very well be overkill - unless you are in love w/ that A6 unique character and extensive modulation features.

Re: Voyager /andromeda dilema..
This is such a personal preference taste thing, that it is very hard to receive advice on whether you should trade it. I would love both, but the only way I would trade one for the other is if I felt I am free to let synth A go so I can try synth B or if the direction of my music is more suitable now for synth B. It's not whether one is better, it just comes down to how it will fit in your situation and mix of all your gear. The A6 is deeper, but does not have the Moog sound imo. The Voyager has the Moog sound (it is a Moog), but not the possibilities that the A6 does.

Re: Voyager /andromeda dilema..
I am sticking with my A6....A good test of loyalty i think..
Thanks for all the advice..

Re: Voyager /andromeda dilema..
In all honesty, I think most of the synths that you already own kick the Voyager in the balls. I am saying this as a Voayger owner that isn't even planning to part with his.
