Hey, thanks stab frenzy for the clarification. Now ok I still have no idea of what i am getting. I will definitely no build it myself tt is said to have a shitty chassis am I correct? Is there a big different in sound between tenologic transplant and mode machine or it is just outside. Hey, jeeroj where did you get your x0x0x from.

I think I am going to go with a mode machine if it sound like the 303 it looks like is well built.

Look no further than this one by altitude, I can vouch for his work personally and he strived to replicate the 303 internals to damn near perfection with this silver beauty.

But hurry it's his last run.............

got my xoxbox from tech. transplant last week....at first I was kinda bummed, i swear the tuning was way off (which I guess can happen with analog stuff, differs at times? ) and someone had left it in full swing mode that I could not figure out to turn off for awhile to get straight timing...also, the switches/buttons knobs felt pretty damn cheap.

All that aside, I ran it through a fuzz pedal and my timefactor , and synced it with a drumbeat and none of that mattered, it has the sound i've never been able to quite dial in with any other synths , especially when using accent/slides on steps. Lots o fun.

I got one from The Beast, a guy who builds them over here, I'd highly recommend him. :)

The other one I got from a friend who is a mod over at the x0xb0x forums, it's got a few extra mods and is a total monster.

Metallic? Hmm. That is an intriguing description.

I own a Revo Mk2, and a x0xb0x built by Altitude (here on VSE). I loathe getting into a religious discussion about sonic difference between a real 303 and the aforementioned machines. For what it's worth, they're both great machines and they both do that familiar single-osc + 3 pole filter sound well. One has the familiar linear sequencing, the other has a nifty circular sequencer. Either machine will get you where you need to go.
