3 for snow..?

Post by man-009 » Thu Nov 17, 2011 4:55 am

would you give up a MS2000 KB, Alesis micron and DSI mopho desktop for an Access Virus TI snow? i don't know what to do..i will be keeping my Blofeld KB, it will sit on top of it if i decide to go with it. i hate making decisions like this! HELP!! i could use a new set up but getting 1 for 3 kind of sucks.

How often do you use those three? How often do you use them together? I imagine the virus will cover most of your needs, and none of these three is going to be hard to find or expensive o replace in the next little bit, should you want to get one again...it's a decision only you can make...but if you want my opinion, I'd prob go for the trade.

personally, I wouldn't do it - keep in mind I'm not a fan of the basic virus sound. the best thing I found about the access stuff is the build quality and design of it - the snow doesn't really show this off with it's small interface (although it is still built well).

I find the access and waldorf sound to be similar (waldorf i like better though) - i think you would be losing a lot of flavour and diversity (and lots of knobs!) in this trade.

also, snows will only come down in price over time - i think your stuff has probably stabilized.

Personally I'd rather have a Blofeld and a Snow than a Blofeld, MS2000, Micron and Mopho. But I'd probably ditch the Micron from that setup anyway even if I wasn't going to get the Snow, so I obviously have different values.
