Pro-One

Trying to research a reasonable price for a Pro-One, as a nice model has recently become available in my area. That being said the seller is asking $1500, which seems a little high and I'm not paying that. I was thinking these were in the $1000 range (could be trippin?), but I've not been able to find any on eBay recently to track their sale prices so I'm not sure. I could be totally wrong as synths tend to go in and out of fashion monthly nowadays. Any input would be appreciated.

That actually seems like a reasonable price as they have gone up in price lately. Here's a great resource.

$1500 is a rip-off, especially on craigslist.. $1500 was also apparently the new "going" rate 6 months ago when I proved everyone wrong with Sir Ruff's Pro-One price prediction coup

Prices on these really go up and down, so I'd just hold out for a cheaper one.

I'm with Sir Ruff -- $1500 is too much. $1000 seems like market value.

too late :? ... I actually had two at one point last summer, and sold the one for that much. Actually had very little interest, surprisingly.

In 2008. I bought one on eBay for $700. In Sweden, they usually sell for $1200-1600

I bought one in fantastic shape for 1,400 in '10, sold for the same 18 months later.

There's no way I'd pay more for a Pro-One than the cost of a new Future Retro XS.

This. Though they are both awesome, the XS is new, still in production and takes up INF less space.

...but doesn't sound anywhere near as raw as the Pro-1. Yeah, the XS has way more features, blah blah, but in terms of pure analog sound, the pro-1 wins. Also, different filters. Horses for courses I guess.
