I'm looking into this 4-voice polysynth. It's basically a stripped down Prophet'08.

Did anyone here own it or have it? Just wondering if it's worth $5-700 that's the going prices on ebay. Been gas'ing on the Mopho, but then I noticed the tetra which is more or less 4 mophos in a box.

Yep. The sub osc and filter feedback add nice beef to the sound and the sequencers are a blast. But the programming sucks immensly. If you're comfortable with a computer editor, the Tetra is a nice synth. I had one on loan with the idea of buying it, but the sound wasn't entirely to my liking and the editing.. I hated programming it.

Yep.

I found it not that hard to program cause it's basically half an Evolver and I know the Evolver inside out, so I know what I'm looking for when I'm scrolling through the list of every single parameter on a single knob. If I was coming to it without that information It would be a freakin nightmare.

Have to agree with everybody, sounds great but not convenient to program (but the Mopho module is no better...). I can manage to do it without the software editor (which has some bugs of its own), but it's not too funny. Together with a Mopho Keyboard, it's awesome. I wrote something here about drawbacks with Tetra + Mopho Keys...

Sounds annoying..don't really need it when I have the mega Andromeda, but hey, one always want something new.

I really liked Sonicstate's Mopho review, and the tetra is more or less 4 mophos. I'm a sucker for analog unison modes too.

Should probably pass it up anyway since I'm in the line for a Minibrute the moment they arrive in the local store.
