Thanks for your replys. Can the jp-8000 do more then my sh-201? I know i can get some soundsets for it. About creating my own presets, i try to do that on my sh-201, and i have created some sounds. The limit is that it only is possible to save 32 user patches in it. Okay juno-gi out of the list. Instead i found some reviews of the novation synths and the waldorf synth. They sound a bit like the virus. Are they a better choice?

An older Novation Supernova Or Waldorf q is still pretty screen-depedent for deep programming. A Blofeld is very very screen dependent. Newer novations... yeah, menu diving involved.

hmm okay... What can be done via the front panel on the virus? is it possible to find the presets without diving in menues? It looks like it will be very dificult to get one without menu's if i want more then my sh-201 can do. I'm still interested in the nord lead's and the king korg. The problem is that i can't try the synths. I nead to drive 2 hours to a music store that maybe have 1 of the models home.

you can increment and decrement the presets from the front panel, yes. Most basic editing can be done from the front panel.

Bass-wise, for screaming basslines you couldn't do much better than a MiniBrute SE. Despite having a single VCO, it has extensive wave shaping abilities: it can do a sort of unison. That said, the single oscillator it has, coupled with the filters, enough power that I hardly ever with unison. More pricey, there is the Korg MS-20. No unison, but two VCOs easily detuned on the fly, serial low and high pass filters - and of course that patch bay.

And of course, they are both analogue. I find this adds a bit of variation in the sound - important for repeated bass patterns. I own both of the synths above, and as soon as I switch to running the bass through either of the above, basses get a bit of life breathed into them. Anyway, just my opinion - hope you find what you're looking for!

Cheers

The OP is blind so anythign heavily dependent on the screen isn't going to be useful

Oh, I see. That just leaves one-knob-per-function synths, I suppose.

Thanks for all replys. I'm maybe going to a music store on tuesday. They don't have the prophet synths on there lists. So i have to look at some of the other synths. They maybe have the gaia, king korg and the nord leads home but not the virus ti. So if i buy that i take a risk. to list the features up i maybe nead. Supersaw/hypersaw/unison i know they call it diffrend names. Wavetable oscs or some that sounds like that to create bells used in dance music. I know the nord lead 4 have wavetable but i don't know how good it is for supersaw leads and pads. Do the nord lead a1 have wavetable oscs? i do know now that it can do trance pads. I like the gaia presets but will it be a good synth for all the types of sounds i nead? back are the virus ti and king korg. that i don't know mutch about. i Know there are lots of good soundsets for the virus, and the factory presets in the king korg are good.
