Technics KN901 for $140

Post by KidFromBastion » Fri Jul 22, 2016 8:26 pm

Hey everyone!

I wanted to ask if anyone here had experience with Technics keyboards? I got a chance to get second hand Technics KN901 for like $140 and I wonder if its worth it. Of course I will have to check if everything is ok with it before I buy, but there is not so much info on the internet about that keyboard, no reviews and noone is selling it, so I cant even compare the prices.

Also, alternatively I can buy used Casio CTK-600 for $190 from the same guy. Would it be more worth it?

Enjoy...
There are a few videos of KN901 on YouTube.
It's nothing to write home about. A typical GM rompler with built-in effect processor. Pianos are nice, brass is OK, but the strings are really bland and crappy.

If you're after a home keyboard, save more for some Yamaha PSR or newer Casio.

So, You think I should go for CTK6000 then? I wanted to replace my Casio CTK2400 for some other keyboard with more features and there is a guy who owns a second hand music store not so far from my place. So I want to exchange my Casio (and old guitar amplifier) for one of those 2 keyboards.
So looks like I will have to see how much would I have to pay extra in order to get that Casio.

Are you looking for a home keyboard or professional end keyboard? Because I would recommend the WK series by Casio (3000 or 7600 because those 2 have good sounds). I haven't had one but I tried out the WK 7600 and it has more features than the CTK 2400 and the instruments sound so much cleaner and realistic, plus it has VA synth sounds for your gabber/hard style/electro house needs. And it has a pitch wheel and modulation button for vibrato.
Korg, Casio, Alesis, and Yamaha (Minilogue, WK-7600, SK-1, CT-X3000, SR-16, MX49)
FL Studio 12, VSTs, MIDI keyboard
Non synths include string, woodwind, percussion, and toys for SFX.
