First Synth, something without keys for psych-rock?

Postby enanders » Mon Aug 22, 2016 9:47 pm

Looking for a synth/setup that I can connect to an existing keyboard (Yamaha P-120), so keyless preferred. Will be used for both jamming and recording. Looking for a psych-rock sound (ala Tame Impala).

I've heard that those psychedelic sounds I'm looking for might be better achieved via some pedals, so pedal + synth setup recommendations also encouraged.

Completely new to the synth game, so I've done some research but certainly am not very knowledgable, so any advice is appreciated!

What about the Roland JU-06? Sounds almost like a real Juno-106 (the one Tame Impala uses) and is keyless and cheap!
