Yamaha CS60

Hi,

I'm looking to see if anyone has advice on a good price for the Yamaha CS60? So looking at potential eBay prices as well as what you might expect to pay through other less 'inflated' avenues. Oh, I'm UK based!

Cheers,
Gavin.

Realistically, I'd say something between 2,500 and 3,500 Euros, depending on the shape it's in and the accessories that come with the unit (lid, legs, music rest, pedals, manuals etc.). People seem to have slightly distorted ideas as to what these instruments are worth, ignoring the fact that they need to be serviced after some 35 years, spares are hard to come by (and expensive), and not every tech would be willing to touch them.

When you're in the UK, you might want to have Kent Spong overhaul the whole thing and bring it back to specs (which would be an expensive but worthwhile extra).

I guess you've seen this one:

RL Music CS-60 for sale

Kent Spong would be the one restoring it.

I hadn't actually...though that is interesting! I was watching one on eBay that would have needed some TLC, there was a video but no other information about any potential faults so it would have been a bit of a gamble. On the other hand I would have loved to have restored it to full use, sadly I suspect it'll be broken down and used for CS80 parts.

Fortunately the SynthProf lives literally a stones throw from me so I would have taken it there!
