Yeah, you have a great blog carbon111.

There's a nice video of massives features at NI's website, it's pretty cool. about 20 minutes long, and 111 MB.

Too funny. They added that recently...nice video. For the price (around $250 street), I don't think there's a better synth out there...

Sorry, Piggy, everybody has recommended Zebra to me...nice enough interface, nice topology, but it sounds like c**p to me. Very much like Absynth only not so nice...I feel the same way about Z3TA+

One man's meat is another mans rotting donkey carcass.

I'll let you know on the others but I'm pretty busy with Massive, Albino 3 and Reaktor. Plus its all your damn fault that I'll have the Absynth upgrade to contend with next week as well!!! :P

Maybe I was a bit strong in my chice of words but everybody's been pushing softsynths in my face...mainly Z3ta+ and Zebra. A lot of the timbres on those two seemed to be "padded out" to me with too much time-based Fx..give me the real deal please. ;)

...plus, those two sound too "Absynthy" to me :D

's no prob, bro. You need to come over for beer, synths and barbecue sometime if yer ever round these parts!

Z3ta is the best techno trancer synth you could get (and vanguard too, why not). Now looking to your blog...

How is Massive compared to Rapture and to Albino 3?

What is it that you don't like about Z3TA+, other than the interface?
Akai MPC1000 | Alesis Fusion 8HD + Ion + 2x QS8 | Boss SYB-5 | Edirol PCR-1 | Korg Electribe EMX | Novation X-Station 25 | Roland V-Synth GT + V-Synth + VC1 + VC2 | Yamaha AN200 + DX5 + MK100

Apples and oranges. The closest thing is the Waldorf Q and Microwave XT.

I would compare Albino 3 to a "polite" Nord Lead 3...

I like the interface a lot...I just don't think it sounds so hot. Unless the regular version is vastly different than the demo, its just not for me...

If you like this synth for wavetable type synthesis, what do you think of this synth compared to the Komplexor by terratec?

Because you're S.O.L. if you have a Mac with Komplexer. Not so with Massive.
