some wave .. like a saw orso
oscillator sync
slow LFO controlling the sync
some filter, probably an LPF with a bit o' reso
slow LFO controlling the freq
DSP: overdrive/distortion
DSP: EQ/highcut
DSP: feedbacking delay

Additionally you might want to add a second osc (a sine or triangle) with a slow attack to drive the overdrive/distortion nuts. Perhaps transpose this 2nd osc -5 orso, or +7 .. trial&error

Something like that.. sounds like these are usually easy to make because there're so many ways to create it..

This sound seems like an electric guitar played by an eBow.

This website is a bit goofy. Some of the samples aren't demos. However, I've heard an eBow in person an it sounded just like the clip you posted.

It's definitely an electric guitar that has been processed, and as stated above, likely played with an Ebow.

yeah, it's gotta be a very processed guitar played with an e-bow. though i have heard synth patches similar to that.
My mind doth rove of its own accord.
